Happy December

December 3rd, 2011

I really can’t believe it’s December already. Where does the time go? I think I have an idea of where the month of November went for me. There were a couple of book proposals to tackle, a food cart remodel (check out thenativebowl.com to see it all live!), lots of family in from out of town (aka Thanksgiving), 2 TV segments and a cooking class for my daughter’s sorority. Whew, what a month! Believe it or not, I’m actually feeling pretty relaxed as we head into December. I used to go really crazy around the holidays with tons of baking, gift buying, decorating, extreme coffee drinking and very little sleep. It was also our busiest time of year, as my husband and I had a bakery and did custom gift baskets too. But as our kids got older, I started approaching the holidays in a much more relaxed way.

So, what do I have in mind for December? Baking (for fun), lots of long walks with the hubby and dogs (weather permitted), sewing, and just genuinely enjoying life. Of course, there will be lots of cooking and working at the cart too, but that goes without saying.

So how do you plan on spending the month of December? Do you have any traditions or fabulous vacations planned? How about cooking or baking that you only do this time of year? I’d love to hear what everyone is up too.

Oh, and in case you’re wondering what the photo is above, that is the new counter top at our cart, with our fabulously fun new Native Bowl buttons. Don’t you just love them?! I want to thank the incredibly talented team at Parliament (Nick, Lydia & John), for doing such an amazing re-design and branding of Native Bowl! You guys rock!
