Thinking About Thanksgiving

October 30th, 2009

I was teaching a cooking class last night, and started sharing menu and recipe ideas for Thanksgiving. This is definitely one holiday that can throw people for a loop, whether they're a newbie to vegetarian cooking, a newbie to cooking or just at a loss as to what to serve. Since Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, I love to share ideas and recipes. I soon realized that all of my recipe suggestions are available here on Everyday Dish (in one form or another).

So, here you go dear reader. A list of some delectable recipes which are perfect for your Thanksgiving meal.

Cranberry Sauce, Vegan Turkey Roast, Pumpkin Hazelnut Soup, Hot Artichoke Dip, Sauteed Chard, Herb Crusted Tofu With Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Pumpkin Hummus, Dave's Killer 100% Whole Wheat Bread, Pumpkin Biscotti, Caramel Nut Bars, Vanilla Ice Cream, Blackberry Cobbler. These recipes can all be found here on our website. Just go to the menu on the left side of the screen.

Wait, there's more! If you want to watch Bryanna Clark Grogan work her magic with her signature seitan roasts for Thanksgiving, don't forget about the Everyday Dish DVD. There are some awesome T Day recipes here!

Last, but not least, we also have recipes on the subscription side of ED. So if you're a subscriber, don't forget to look here as well. And if you aren't a subscriber, you might want to check it out. Some of the T Day recipes that I would suggest are: Chocolate Cream Pie, Skillet Pie, Key Lime Cheesecake, Cornbread, Chocolate Zucchini Bread, Marshmallows for your sweet potato casserole, Diner Loaf, Bryanna's Crack Gravy, Candied Hazelnuts and many others...

I wish that my new cookbook was out already, because there will be more Thanksgiving-friendly recipes there. But alas, we'll have to wait a bit, as it's not scheduled to be released until early 2011.

Now, what are you waiting for? You've got a menu to plan!
